Introduction to Antiracism Workshop:

Move beyond diversity & inclusion by developing an antiracist lens to create spaces of belonging.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • Antiracism language and the framework for building an antiracism lens

  • Rooting your awareness in understanding Canada’s colonial history

  • The impacts of unconscious bias, systemic racism, and white colonial culture 

  • The first step in developing antiracist workplaces and spaces for your team or group

Antiracism and Equity in the Workplace: Supports organizations and companies in developing and integrating an equity and DEI lens into practices, policies, and workplace culture.

Repairing Racial Harm and Bias at Work: From Intent to Accountability & Belonging: Selam will support participants in building the awareness, language, and practices needed to repair racial harm and bias in workplace interactions. This session centers repair as an ongoing relational practice rooted in accountability, impact, and transformation. Participants will learn how racial harm shows up in everyday interactions and gain practical strategies to interrupt harm, respond with care, and restore trust, dignity, and belonging.

Black History Month Talk: Selam will lead your staff through an inspiring exploration of the Black experience in Canada and throughout the diaspora, leaving participants with new insights, tools for unlearning, and a renewed focus on Black Excellence, Resistance, Joy, and Futures.

Anti-Black Racism: This workshop explores the impacts of anti-Black racism, racial injustice, implicit bias, whiteness, and structural racism in the workplace and beyond. Participants will deepen their understanding of how these dynamics shape systems, culture, and everyday interactions, while building the awareness and language needed to recognize harm and support meaningful change.

Intersectionality: This workshop explores intersectionality and how race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability shape experiences within organizational culture. Participants will build a deeper understanding of how systems of power overlap and learn how to foster more inclusive, equitable, and responsive workplaces.

Understanding Whiteness: This workshop explores how whiteness functions within Canada and shapes workplace culture, systems, and everyday interactions. Participants will deepen their understanding of power and privilege while learning practical ways to create more inclusive, equitable, and accountable spaces.

Black liberation: This workshop centers Black liberation as a vision for equity, justice, and collective healing. Participants will explore what meaningful change requires for Black communities, examine barriers to liberation, and consider how workplaces and institutions can move beyond representation toward transformative action.

Antiracism and Equity for Teens: This workshop is designed for youth and teens to build understanding of unconscious bias, racism, microaggressions, and the bystander effect. Through engaging and age-appropriate learning, participants will develop the confidence and skills to recognize harm, speak up, and contribute to more equitable communities.
